  • Evolit supports KSV1870 in implementing a new, modern portal solution as part of a strategic digitalization initiative.
  • The new platform replaces the existing myKSV portal and is based on a modular architecture using Liferay DXP.
  • The goal is to create a secure, efficient, and future-ready portal to strengthen customer loyalty and further develop digital services.

As part of a comprehensive digital transformation initiative, KSV1870 is collaborating with Evolit. The goal of the project is the complete redesign of the existing portal landscape and the replacement of the long-standing myKSV portal with a modern, future-proof platform solution.

KSV1870 has been operating its own member and customer portal for several decades. While this solution has reliably served its purpose, its monolithic architecture no longer meets current requirements in terms of usability, modularity, security, and cost-efficient maintenance.

“It was clear to us that we needed a digitalization partner who is not only technologically strong, but also understands our organization, shares our long-term vision, and takes customer experience into account,” emphasizes KSV1870 CEO Ricardo-José Vybiral. “With Evolit, we have found exactly that partner: competent, structured, and with a deep understanding of complex corporate systems.”

As part of the project, the existing portal will be replaced by a new solution based on Liferay DXP. This approach enables the combination of standard software and custom software development, ensuring both flexibility and cost efficiency. The goal is to provide a modern frontend for members and customers while sustainably reducing development and maintenance costs.

Florian Valente, Lead IT Architect at KSV1870, highlights the strategic importance of this approach: “The modular architecture allows us to respond more quickly to new requirements and continuously evolve our digital services. Evolit contributes not only technological expertise but also valuable experience from similar enterprise projects.”

The initiative is divided into two closely interconnected subprojects. With IAM.Next, a new identity and access management solution is being developed, featuring a Liferay-based frontend and a Keycloak-based backend. This solution provides the foundation for secure, flexible, and scalable user and access management.

In addition,myKSV.NEXT will deliver the new member and customer portal. It will fully replace the existing myKSV portal and integrate seamlessly into the existing system landscape. Stability, security, and a modern user experience are key priorities.

“Especially for a central system like our portal, stability, security, and efficiency are top priorities,” says KSV1870 CFO Hannes Frech. “At the same time, we want to offer our members a modern and intuitive user experience. Our collaboration with Evolit gives us the confidence that both requirements will be fully met.”

With myKSV.NEXT, a modern, attractive, and high-performance portal is being created that strengthens the loyalty of existing members while also supporting the acquisition of new customers. The new architecture provides a sustainable foundation for future digital services and reinforces KSV1870’s commitment to combining innovation with reliability.

“This project is a key component of our digitalization strategy,” concludes Ricardo-José Vybiral. “Together with Evolit, we are creating a platform that delivers real value to our members and positions us technologically for the years ahead.”

With this project, Evolit once again positions itself as a reliable partner for custom software development, sophisticated portal solutions, and enterprise software from Vienna.
